YorkWorks is the careers branch of the Club of PEP. It organizes Career fairs, speaker events, conferences, and it bring employers from different domains closer to students. The last Career Fair it has organized has brought the Club of PEP a profit of £5000.

YorkWorks' main guest speaker in the summer term of 2010 was Muzaffar Khan. Mr. Khan is Principal and Board Member of Space Energy AG and he has an extensive background working in hedge funds and leading investment banks. His lecture at the University of York was on "How to get a job in the city".

YorkWorks has also organized a workshop with the Parliamentary Outreach team. The future projects of YorkWorks include sector based conferences in the autumn term of 2010. YorkWorks conferences provide a forum for people to build connections. Experts and industry insiders rub shoulders with high-achieving students soon to venture into the world of work. It enables attendees to work together to further their interests, learning from one another as they go.

If you are an employer and want take part in our Conferences, please send an enquiry email to president@clubofpep.org.

This is a short clip from the Muzaffar Kahn lecture, where he discusses why it's important students take the lead in forging their career path.
