
VOX, The Periodical of Politics, Economics and Philosophy is the platform at the University of York, England, for critical insight into the wide abyss of Politics, Economics and Philosophy. The aim of VOX is to fill an academic void on campus and in general. Articles represent a diverse range of opinions which are both interesting and controversial; views that spur debate and analysis.

The current Vox, ‘Future realities’, tackles several issues. First there is the future of the planet. A critique of ‘fake’ nature (p.22) is followed by a piece on our impact on global fish stocks (p.28). There are also articles on how advancements may strain our current conceptions of what is moral. The future of creative content is considered (p.6) along with problems surrounding human enhancement (p.14). In another piece the current criteria for a thinking machine are critically analysed (p.18). Two articles deal with the future of the discipline of economics (p.10 and p.32). Finally, intergenerational responsibility and the status of embryos are discussed (p.42 and p.36).

Issues: New Issue: the Nation |

The current edition of VOX deals with many of the subjects concerning nations. There are articles evaluating the economic importance of the Nation, both its cohesive quality (p.6) and in relation to free trade (p.22). Authors have also contributed work on collective responsibility (p.18) and on the importance of considering nationality in successful intervention in conflicts (p.10).
