club of PEP at York

Employers

The Club of PEP aims to facilitate networking between its members and external institutions and firms. As the official student body of the School of PEP, it is also the Club's aim to foster contacts and invite speakers and organisations in positions to contribute to the interests of York students and to inform external outfits about the qualities of the School of PEP and promote its members. In the last 42 years since its founding, the University of York has become a leading university, establishing a reputation to rival that of Oxford and Cambridge. It is today the top teaching university in the country and is acclaimed internationally for its research quality; 18 out of 23 departments were awarded 5 or 5* in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise. York has consistently featured in the top ten of all university leagues tables and was named 'University of the Year' in 2005 by the Sunday Times. 'A place at York is highly prized' claims the Sunday Times, 'with over 9 applicants per place, getting in is not an easy feat'. The standard offer for most courses is minimum AAB at A level and two solid AS levels i.e. well over 300 UCAS points. The University of York has over 10,500 students, a third of whom are postgraduates.

The Club is eager to host employer events at the University. They provide a unique opportunity for firms to raise their profile amongst some of the brightest, most promising graduates in the country and for York – recently described as being the university best placed to ‘break into the top four’ – to raise its profile amongst graduate employers. If you are an employer interested in holding an event at the University please visit the Careers Events section of this website for further information and instructions.
